*About Goldnglitter*

*GoldNGlitter Bengals is a TICA registered cattery established Dec. 2, 2009 and located in beautiful Southwest Florida.  We are a small in home cattery focusing on the Brown Spotted Tabby (BST), Brown Marbled Tabby (BMT), and Snows.  Our goals are to breed to The Bengal cat standard.  Our focus is to breed quality Bengal cats for pet, breeder and show.  This mission includes health and temperament, gold and glittered pelts (hence our cattery name), small to medium size well placed rounded ears, puffy white whisker pads with properly aligned chins, long and lean muscular bodies with thick tails.  We are striving for large outlined rosettes with a horizontal to diagonal flow, as well as tri color marbles with horizontal flow and no bulls eye.  Spotted bellies are a must of course.  We show our cats so we can stay up to date with the Bengal breed standard.*

*OUR STORY:

*I fell in  love with the Bengal Breed from the moment I set my eyes on my neutered boy Max.  He was the pick from his other 4 littermates and was 11 weeks old.  He actually picked me.  I remember that day December 19, 2008.  I was on a break at my job and saw the newspaper ad for Bengal kittens for sale.  I have never seen one in person though I have seen many pictures and researched the Bengal Cats on line.  I immediately called the number to see what colors they were and if they were still available.  They were all available but someone would be going to see the kittens in a few hours.  I wanted to see them first to have first pick so I left work immediately.  I arrived  there before any other potential buyer did and was welcomed in by  Jamie.  She explained how she had a male and female, both beautiful with golden pelts and two tone rosettes.  Those were the parents of the kittens but the kittens were not registered because the mother never was.  I did not care at the time.  All I knew was I had to have one.  There were 5 beautiful kittens, all rosetted.  To my surprise, only one was a bit shy and that turned out to be the female.  I wanted a male.  They all seemed well socialized.  There were other cats, a dog, and a sad little girl there who did not want Mommy to sell the kittens.  I had to have Rocky.  At least that is what they called him.  He was just too much.  A ball of energy and not afraid of anything.  He was truly beautiful!  Golden brown with outlined rosettes coming in and glittered from head to tail.  Speaking of tail, he did have a kink at the end of it, but I didn't care.  I was looking for a pet.  I explained to Jamie that I already have 2 cats at home and had researched the Bengal Cat so she felt confident that I would give their Rocky a great home.  We boxed him up, had some litter and food in hand, and off I went.  He was very active and talkative the whole ride home.  I already had a cat condo so I set him up in my bathroom for a while to be sure that he was healthy and comfortable with his new environment.  Well nothing bothered him.  He popped out of that box like nothing happened.  He wasn't afraid in the least.  All he wanted to do was play, play, play!*

*Back then I knew little of the Bengal Breed Standard but I can say that if he were registered and didn't have that kinked tail, he would give other Bengal cats a run for their money in the show ring.  He has an amazing purrsonality to go with his beautiful looks.  His clear glittered pelt, two tone rosettes, profile, ears, whisker pads, pattern flow, and muscles!  WOW!  He was the only one in the litter with a tail kink but remember, he picked me and I wouldn't have it any other way.*

*Today Max is just as active as when he was 11 weeks old.  He follows me around, jumps on my back whenever I bend down and he is close enough, runs to the faucet to play with the water, and my favorite,  everyday he gets on my lap, lays on his back for belly rubs, and sucks on the tip of his tail.  I enjoy this time with him.  We have bonded tremendously and I couldn't imagine life without him.  He truly is the reason that I fell in love with this breed of cat. And now here we are, on a wonderfully amazing adventure...  GoldNGlitter Bengals.*
